7th Annual JDRF Charity Car Show Event Coverage

Another year and another awesome show! First off let me start of by personally thanking each and every volunteer, sponsor, and person who brought out their awesome cars and trucks. Without you all, this event would not be! 2013 was yet again our biggest and best year ever! We had 115 cars registered and over 130 on the show field! Little by little we just keep on growing! We also raised $3260 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation! What an awesome amount! That puts our 7 year total over $20,000 dollars by $300!! The weather was nice and hot, it finally felt like summertime! Even though we did have a quick rain shower to cool things off, I didn’t here anyone complaining about the weather!

The awards get tougher and tougher to give out each year. The quality of cars that comes to this show never ceases to amaze me! We did the best we could at giving judging a fair shake, but with the number of cars vs the number of trophies its just hard to reward everyone. In my opinion everyone was Best of Show for bringing their cars and trucks out to support the kids! Here are the best of awards, there was also A Top 25 that was given out.

Best Of The Decade Awards 1920’s-2010’s(There was no 1910 present)

This is a new award I came up with this year to honor the car in each year group that best represent’s the decade. Maybe not the nicest car, but a car or truck that when you look at it you think 50’s or 40’s or 90’s, etc.

Somehow I missed the 2000’s winner but it was a red Dodge Challenger SRT8, 2008 I believe?

With our sponsor awards this year we did something a little different, instead of buying actual trophies, we just decided to step up the prizes a little bit.
