Lot 623- I know what your thinking? 1985 Dodge Truck?? But look a little deeper, this is a sweet ride!

Lot 624- Every time I see one of these cars it will be on my list! I love these!

Lot 701– Usually I’m not a big fan of chopped trucks, but this Mercury, yes I said Mercury is just way too cool not to mention!

Lot 730– You want a Z28? Forget the 69’s, get a real Z, get a 1970! This is a great example! One owner car!

Lot 775.3– A Superbird Convertible? Huh? Pretty cool even for a clone!

Lot 839– Factory 150 Business Coupe, Fuelie too, it will take an awfully impressive car to top this one on my list this year!

1936 FORD DELUXE PHAETON: LOT 1137.0

Old Ford Phaeton’s are super cool and super rare. It was impossible to not add this one to the list when i saw it!

1952 CHEVROLET CUSTOM 2 DOOR HARDTOP: LOT 1150.0

I got to admit, the Corvette grille and bumpers caught my eye. I’m usually not a big fan of modern customs, but this has enough old school in it that I really like it!

1988 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX DAYTONA 500 PACE CAR: LOT 1160.0

In the big scheme of things, I’m not really sure what this car is worth, but as a NASCAR fan, I thing its super cool!

1969 JAGUAR XKE 2+2 COUPE: LOT 1316.0

Nothing beats an XKE coupe! This one is an excellently restored example of one!

1989 SHELBY CSX: LOT 3045.0

Anything with the Shelby name gets my attention! I’ve always thought these were cool little cars!

1960 STUDEBAKER CHAMP PICK UP: LOT 4017

Old speed shop trucks are cool. Being that this one is a Studebaker makes it even cooler! Even comes with a display motor in the back!

1965 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE: LOT 6019

The color brought my attention to this one, never mind big block, four speed, etc. etc.!

1989 FORD MUSTANG: LOT 6023

It’s a foxbody, so you know its on my list!

1969 CHEVROLET PICK UP 2500 SERIES LOT 3341.0

You never see a nice 3/4 ton chevy for sale, thus why its on my list!

1979 DODGE LIL RED EXPRESS: LOT 3381.0

Really curious to see what this one does. These are fun little trucks and the price seems to be on the rise!

Daytona 500 Picks

It’s almost race season! Time for our weekly picks again. I will be picking drivers for Yahoo Fantasy NASCAR each week as well as an overall race winner.

Pick-A-Winner

This week I’m going with Tony Stewart to win the 500. He’s long over due and even though he hasn’t showed much in qualifying or practice, he seems confident with his race car. He’s fresh, recharged, and ready to go, I think this is Tony’s year.

Yahoo Fantasy Picks

My A team starter will be Kevin Harvick. He’s proven he can get around Daytona and will be looking to get off to a strong start of SHR. On my B team I’m going with Ryan Newman and as mentioned above, Tony Stewart. Newman is going to have a very fast car at RCR and I think he has the best chance on that team to put it in victory lane. On my C team, I’m going with Austin Dillon. There is a lot of pressure on Austin, but I think he is up to the challenge, in fact, I ALMOST picked him to win the race.

I’m not going to bother sharing my bench this week since no qualifying points are given for the 500, its not really important.

Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas ’13: Thursday Cars To Watch

Here are our top ten cars to watch for the day!

Lot 3000

Charity cars are always hot at Barrett-Jackson and for good reason! This GT500 will go to benefit the Wounded Warriors Family Support.

Lot 3001

Another charity ride, this 1957 Lincoln is going to raise money for the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.

Lot 7000

1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. A very nicely optioned 70 Z, we had the mate to this car a few years ago in our garage only with an M21 instead of an M22. I know what we sold ours for, I bet this one goes for a lot more!

Lot 183

Another Z28, these 1979 models have been hot at shows I’ve been to, especially 4-speeds. This car should set or maybe reset the market on them.

Lot Number 116

F1’s always have a special place in my heart, this 1950 is no exception.

Lot 93

King of The Hill, the ZR1. Always been a bucket list car of mine!

Lot 134

Gotta love an old Packard. This 1953 Clipper appears to be all original, although I’m not sure what the value is or how big the market is for something like this.

Lot 169

The Buick Grand National, the car that might be credited for bringing back the Muscle Car along side the Foxbody Mustangs of the late 80’s. This low mile example should be a good sign whether those people hording these cars in their garage should keep up the hording, or start driving them!

Lot 146

Be interesting to see if this Barrett-Jackson Mustang really is anything special on resale, or if its just another one of the hundreds of “special edition” Mustangs we’ve saw over the past 6 or 7 years.

Lot 127

Going on Thursday this car could end up being steal of the show.  Other than the incorrect 454 engine this Vette has all the right options to fetch big money.

Well that’s all for the day! Be sure and check back tomorrow for more cars to watch!
