Wanna Go Fast 1/2 Mile Shootout Clayton, GA Spring 2015

Well the rain but a hold on most of the racing today. I heard they did get things going after lunch but I had to check out before then. Still plenty of great photo eye candy to walk around and shoot!

Pigeon Forge Rod Run Fall ’13: Top Ten Picks

It’s been a few months since we’ve done the top ten picks, sorry I’ve been kind of slack. But I’m trying to get it fired back up along with some other features to figure out what people like and what they don’t like so we can prepare to go full blast into our 3rd year in 2014!

Had to take a double take on this one! I bet he gets some interesting looks going down the highway!

I wish I could have got a close up look at this Mercedes Benz, I’m guessing late model power, maybe LS? Never got a good look at it.

8e 8d 8c 8b 8a

Nothing seems hotter right now than an old patina’d up truck with an LS motor shoved under the hood, this one is a great example of that!

This car had a built AMC power plant and ran 10 second 1/4 mile times. I really like the mix of strip and classic in this one. It was a car you could have won with on Friday night at the track and then won with on Saturday at the car shows. Not very often do you see a stock appearing classic this nice AND this fast and track ready.

6d 6c 6b 6a

Do I really need to explain?” Plus they were making tons of laps on the street! Nasty car!

5e 5d 5c 5b 5a

Coyote swaps are becoming more and more popular, but to see one in this old Mercury was very cool!

4b 4a

Did Oliver even make an old truck? This is one I guess? It was a new one for me and man was it slick!!

3d 3c 3b 3a

Yeah, I know the distributor is in the wrong place, but this is still a REALLY slick car.

2d 2c 2b 2a

If I would have had the money this car would have came home with me. When have you EVER saw a four door 150 car? They have to be rare. This would have made an excellent driver.

1e 1d 1c 1b 1a

Plymouth Suburban? How cool is that! Look at the interior in this thing, all it needs is a late model Hemi and updated drivetrain and this would be an AWESOME street rod.

Friday Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Top 10 Cars To Watch

Friday at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2013 and I’m supposed to only pick 10 cars? Okay, I’ll start with ten!

For all of Friday’s cars CLICK HERE

1966 Oldsmobile 442
Lot Number 1143

I really like this car, its a nice mix of original with a small modern touch. After all a car this big needs a little upgraded stopping power. The big wheels are a nice touch and I assume were needed to clear the bigger brakes.

1968 Ford Mustang GT
Lot Number 1132

You see a good bit of 69 Cobra Jets but you don’t see many nice 68’s. This is a really nice example of one.

1969 Ford Mustang
Lot Number 1130

Speaking of Cobra Jets, this would be one to own. Factory drag pack car, rare options, awesome color. I’d love to have this one sitting in my garage.

1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
Lot Number 1128

Very nice example of a 59. Over 25 options plus the car was owned by NHRA legend Kenny Bernstein.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429
Lot Number 1093

I swear I didn’t plan all these Mustangs back to back. But with the 429 this one had to be on the list!

1959 Chevrolet Corvette
Lot Number 1096

Restomod Vettes have came out of the woodwork this year at Barrett-Jackson. This orange 59 is a very nice example of one. Its got the LS7 in it along with all of the supporting mods.

1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Drag Car
Lot Number 1119

Old drag cars are always cool, this one has a pretty nice little history.

1965 Ford Mustang AFX Gasser
Lot Number 1079

Add another Mustang and another nostalgic drag car to the list.

1966 Chevrolet Corvette
Lot Number 1081

66 Vette, Art Morrison chassis, LSX engine, Tremec, Z06 brakes, the list goes on and on with this one!

1967 Chevrolet Corvette
Lot Number 1067.

I think the add sums it up on Barrett-Jackson the best, this is THE ULTIMATE Corvette in terms of from the factory. Big block, tri power, but will all the creature comforts. Red coupe with a black stinger, you just can’t beat the looks. This vette should bring big money for anyone in the market for a nice mid-year.

Like I said, there was no way I could just pick ten, so stay tuned, there will be more cars to come a little later today!

First foxbody love of the list. This one made it for two reason’s. Number one it sold at a steal at 3,000 dollars. And number two I think “Sir Camsalot” is a pretty cool name to have on your back glass!

9a 9b

These 3rd gen Camaro’s make one of the best big tire drag cars.

8a 8b

I’m a sucker for BIG 66-68 Chevy’s with BIG block’s in them. Especially post cars!

7a 7b

You can’t recreate paint like this. You just gotta drag one outside and let her sit for about twenty years. This thing would be awesome with a diesel swap.

6a 6b

Another clean little foxbody.

5a 5b 5c

This 1993 Cobra only had 60k miles on it and was a very, very clean ride!

4a 4b

This was one cool rod. This model a had a ton of motor work done to it. Sounded like it would really move on down the road for what it is.

3a 3b 3c

I’m also a sucker for old Highway Patrol cars especially North Carolina.

2a 2b 2c 2d 2e 2f

Classic styling, meets modern technology. This thing is clean and very well built. The owner said he had over 80k invested and I don’t doubt it one bit!

1a 1b 1c 1d 1e

Okay, I know what you are thinking, I’ve gone crazy. But I LOVE this car. For several reasons. One I’ve been a big fan of the Monte Carlo Aero Coupes for years and this is the sister car to it. Two the NASCAR history is cool. Three my uncle bought a 1966 Pontiac “2+2” new in 1966 so that adds major cool points. And four I was born in 1986 and I have a fetish for 1986 cars. So that is why this baby is number one!
