Here are our cars to watch for today!

Lot 111, a 1991 Dodge Stealth. I’ve always liked these cars and their Mitsubishi cousin’s! They had a lot of problems back in the day, but still very cool cars!

Lot 214, BAN-ONE, need I say more?

Lot 204, they are only original once! Glad to see this 1940 Ford left that way, the patina on this thing is out of this world awesome!

Lot 235, The Skoal Bandit, maybe not as famous as its #33 cousin, but this car is still a cool piece. Top ten finish at Indy in 1995, driven by Rick Mast.

Lot 169 is a very clean, simple Corvette. In the world of big blocks and L88’s, and 427’s, and this and that, it’s just nice to see a simple, clean small block car!

Lot 172‘s color is what caught my eye most. Emberglo Orange, check it out!

NASCAR Thumb Print All Over January Collector Car Auctions

The time has come in the collector car world for the annual round of auctions that take place each January starting in Kissimmee, Florida at Mecum and ending in Scottsdale, Arizona under the big tent at Barrett-Jackson. Each year the NASCAR world plays a big part in these auctions, from former race cars, special builds, charity items both donated and purchased, it’s not hard to find the NASCAR thumb print on these auctions. 2017 will be no different. Check out just a few of the NASCAR related item’s going across the auction blocks over the next few weeks!

Lot 1318 at Barrett-Jackson is a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette built, owned and driven by NASCAR Hall Of Famer Rusty Wallace.

Lot 653.1 at Barrett-Jackson features a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Pace Car Edition formerly owned by NASCAR Champion Jeff Gordon. 1 of 1300, it features Gordon’s signature in the trunk. The car only has 305 miles on it.–201091

Enough of that boring street car stuff, lets take a look at a few race car’s for sale!

First up is Lot 235 at Barrett-Jackson. It’s the #1 Skoal Bandit car driven by Rick Mast. This car raced to a 10th place finish in the 1995 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis.

Our next car takes us to the Mecum Auction in Lot L91.1. It’s a former Ricky Craven #41 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

There isn’t a ton of info on Lot J182. But I figure it’s worth adding to the list!

The last of the Mecum cars, lot F122, this is probably my favorite, “The Black Widow” 1957 Chevrolet. This particular car was drive by Jack Smith.

When you think 50’s NASCAR race car, the Hudson Hornet has to be one of the first to come to mind. This particular car isn’t a real race car, but a tribute to the legendary “Fabulous Hudson Hornet”. Lot 973 at Barrett-Jackson, check it out!–202263

Lot 1040.1 at Barrett-Jackson has “The King” Richard Petty’s hands all over it, in fact, it is still titled in his name. This is the first “Petty Garage” car ever, a fully customized 2009 Dodge Challenger.–201545

Lot 7004 is a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo “Intimdator” Show Car. Built in honor of Dale Earnhardt, the car was a sort of prototype to future Monte Carlo styling. This car has been in the GM Heritage Collection. This is definitely a one of a kind piece!

The next two cars are examples of what make the NASCAR and Barrett-Jackson connection so special. Both these cars will be auctioned off for charity. 100% of the hammer price will go to Nationwide’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The first is Lot 3006, an “all new” 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle designed by Dale Jr.

Last but not least, lot 3006.1 at Barrett-Jackson, a 2014 #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr race car. 100% of the sales from this car will also go to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Aside from these car’s, people like Rick Hendrick won’t be hard to spot either buying cars for his personal collection as well as raising his hand for numerous charity auctions! Be sure and check out both auctions coming up this month! Stay tuned to for all your auction coverage!

NASCAR Picks: Indianapolis

Back from the off week and here for the home stretch!

Two weekends ago at New Hampshire Joey Logano really let me down with a 40th place finish, pulling my yearly average down to 13.6.

This week I’m going with an Indy veteran, Juan Pablo Montoya. Hopefully he won’t let me down! To see all my results from the year CLICK HERE

Yahoo Fantasy Picks

New Hampshire was a rough week, with Logano finishing 40th, Kurt Busch getting wrecked to a 31st place finish, Morgan Shepard, my feel good pick finishing 41st, Jimmy Johnson’s 6th place finish was my only shining moment of the weekend.

Hopefully things will be a little better this week! On my A team I’m going with Tony Stewart, my B team I’m going with Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray, on my C team I’m going with Austin Dillon.
