Lot 623- I know what your thinking? 1985 Dodge Truck?? But look a little deeper, this is a sweet ride!

Lot 624- Every time I see one of these cars it will be on my list! I love these!

Lot 701– Usually I’m not a big fan of chopped trucks, but this Mercury, yes I said Mercury is just way too cool not to mention!

Lot 730– You want a Z28? Forget the 69’s, get a real Z, get a 1970! This is a great example! One owner car!

Lot 775.3– A Superbird Convertible? Huh? Pretty cool even for a clone!

Lot 839– Factory 150 Business Coupe, Fuelie too, it will take an awfully impressive car to top this one on my list this year!

Lot 840.1– Check this thing out! Factory crew cab! Rare!Rare! Rare!

Gooding & Company Auction Coverage: The Scottsdale Auctions

Along with our extensive Barrett-Jackson coverage we always like to take a look at the other major auctions going on out in Arizona.

One of which is the Gooding & Company Auction.  “The Scottsdale Auction” as they call at. It runs January 20th & 21st.

Below is an exert from their site describing it.

Arizona is long-known as an ideal winter destination, and each January Scottsdale hosts a thriving automotive marketplace adjacent to the Fashion Square Mall and charming Old Town Scottsdale. Gooding & Company has brought a refined approach to this lively and well-established event, offering stunning vehicles across marques and eras. When our viewing showcase opens on Wednesday of Arizona Auction Week, enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the high-quality assortment of vehicles up for auction and connect with Gooding & Company’s top-notch staff and fellow collectors. Over the past nine years in Scottsdale, Gooding & Company has consistently raised the bar for the collector car year, with records that reset the market. Our exceptional collection often becomes the talk of the town and beyond.

The way their site is set up, I’m not able to share photos, but here are some important links below. First off, its a link to the entire auction lot.

Below are a few of my favorites!!

Who doesn’t love a vintage race car? Especially one with the Gurney name on it.

REAL Cobra’s are always cool!

Yeah, that’s an American Motors AMX3, definitely the coolest product they ever made!

1986 Ford RS200, rare, super cool !

Picking cars for Saturday is always hard, I usually start with a list of like 20 and then just narrow them down. Too many to choose from!

Be sure and check them all out at the link below!

Lot S73 features my favorite look of all the C1 Corvette’s, a big brake fuelie! Black is just an added bonus!

Lot S95 features what I have always thought as one of the most collectible Mustang’s of the modern era, the first recreation of the GT350. This is a prototype car owned by the man Mr. Shelby himself!

Lot S121 gives us another Mustang. Although they may not have been the most popular body style in the Boss line up, performance wise, having owned both a 70 and a 71, I think these cars run much better than the 1969 and 1970 302 versions.

If you’ve been following our coverage all week, you are probably wondering by now why I haven’t mentioned any of the dozens of awesome factory race cars going across the blocks this week, well the reason is simple, there are so many they got their own article! If you missed it, click the link below to read it!

With that being said, there was one factory drag car so awesome, it had to be mentioned in here. Lot S126, a factory Hemi Dart. The even cooler thing about this car, as if it could get any cooler, it was bought in the next town over, Sylva, NC from where I live! I’m currently researching to see if anyone remembers the car as it appears to have spent most its life in the area!

Everyone knows I love four doors, Lot S132 is a great example of a rare factory four door! Check it out!

If you’ve looked at anything Mecum Kissimmee, you’ve saw Lot 146.1, this rare black & blue Corvette has to catch your eye! I also imagine it is going to catch a ton of money for the seller!

Lot S151 to me is THE look that defines the C3 Corvette. Bought new at Yenko Chevrolet, Baldwin Motion style hood, big block, etc, etc, it has it all!

Often times when you see a “tanker” Vette, its a Bloomington Gold restored trailer queen, nothing wrong with that at all, but it sure is nice to see one that was used for what it was built for! To race!! Check out Lot S235.

We all remember a few years ago when Barrett-Jackson went crazy over the original Batman car, well this replica will surly tug at some fan’s wallets as well. A recreation, it’s still highly raved as one of the best. Lot F255, Batman No.5.

When you look at Lot F243, it just screams muscle car! Not to mention the rarity of this Oldsmobile, this is about as cool as an Olds gets!

So you are a Cobra R fan? Get your money ready, here is your chance to own them all three! Lot F228,Lot F229, & Lot F230.

Lot F167 is a great example of Dodge’s unique color palate. 1 of 2 Dodge Daytona’s in F6 Spring Green, this car should hit the one million mark in my opinion. Look for this to potentially be top seller of the day on Friday!

Lot T70.1 stands for LT1, the LT1 Corvette is one of the most awesome Vette’s ever created in my opinion. This on is a factory AC car, which was a one year only option making it among the most rare. This one will surly fetch big money!

Lot T79 should let all those guys with 454SS Chevy trucks stuck in their garage if their investment was worth while or not. With less than 5 miles, never dealer prepped, this has to be the nicest most collectible 454SS in the country.

Lot T155.1, the Pontiac Super Duty Trans Am, probably the strongest preforming mid 70’s muscle car of them all. These cars, like all Trans Am’s have really came on the money. My dad had almost this identical car but in a 1974 instead of 1973. Wish he would have kept it! This car is a survivor, be interesting to see how it stacks up against a fully restored car price wise!

Being a Challenger T/A owner myself, you know I couldn’t pass this one up. Lot T142 is a great example of a very nice T/A. Hope it brings some big money!

I’m not a huge 70’s Ford truck fan, but this green F100 in Lot W34 does it for me! This just has a clean look!

Anything with Shelby on it always does well, Lot W124 is a neat modern example of a Shelby product. This was the return of the “renta-racer”. At only 500 made, this is sure to be a strong collectible for years to come.

Lot W137.1 is a timeless Chevrolet, 348, four speed, classic look. Great history, paper work, documentation, this car should really do well.

Lot 142.1 is one of my favorite cars of all time, the black widow 1957 Chevrolet. Even for a clone, this is an awesome car.
