Ebay Find Of The Week: 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe

This weeks Ebay find is a nice little 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. But this isn’t your standard coupe, this one is a little different. It still has the factory six cylinder in it and an working ac system(appears to be aftermarket of some nature). I really like how original and nice this car is and that its owners over the years have resisted the temptation to throw a V8 in it.

Here is the article from the ad.

Take Note America . . .

Up for auction with a low reserve is a very nice 1966 Mustang Coupe. This first generation Pony is super cool inside and out. She is an R code San Jose built Mustang and comes equipped with her 200 straight six motor and has a complete and working air-conditioning system that blows cold. Her exterior is a stunning Tuxedo Black with a white Mustang stripe on the bottom and beautiful matching pinstripes down the sides. The interior is a lovely buckskin tan with the seats near mint and matching carpet that looks brand new. Her headliner and dash are in great shape and she comes with seat belts front and back. A Mustang cassette deck and simulated wood instrument cluster gives this Pony a razor sharp look that will impress anyone.

This Mustang starts right up first time every time and can be driven anywhere on a daily basis. She comes from a private collector out of Phoenix who only owns Mustangs. She is riding on stock steel rims and has a full set of Ford simulated spoke hubcaps with the three prong spinner all around and good whitewall tires on all four wheels. Under her hood everything is clean and a few items that were replaced include new fuel pump, new alternator, new radiator, new battery and her carb was also rebuilt. She has a vintage wooden steering wheel that feels great and her chrome bumpers shine like new including her working light bar up front. All the glass is in excellent condition and her window tint looks great on this Mustang.

Everyone deserves a first generation coupe and this one here with working A/C is a charmer. If you have any questions at all simply call or email because the odds of her going all the way to the end of the auction is pretty low indeed. Her miles are listed as original and they are believed to be accurate as well her original drive train. She has her correct VIN on her front driver’s side fender and comes with a matching title that has no issues. She is ready to go so be on your toes because this Mustang won’t last that long on the eBay online auction block. Inspections are welcomed and worldwide shipping can easily be arranged anywhere necessary for a modest price. Thank you and good luck and don’t forget to bid early and often if you like what you see.

Ebay Find Of The Week: 1966 Plymouth Satellite Hemi

To find a Hemi car is rare, to find an 1966 Hemi car is even more rare, but to find an export car with only ten thousand miles is unheard of.

Check out the video!

Here is the quote from the ad.

1966 Plymouth HEMI Satellite with 16 628 original KM (10 340 miles). The car was an export for Europe in 1966 by Chrysler USA for Chrysler  France and sold brand new by Garage Bosquet in Paris, France.  Assembled at Lynch Road Detroit USA, the car was then shipped from the factory to Paris in France on February 25th 1966. The car is equipped with the very well desired  426ci / 425hp Hemi engine with a torqueflite automatic transmission. Exterior paint is finished with the Silver Metallic code AA1  while the interior is done in the electric red premium interior trim code P4R with bucket seats and console option.  Among the factory equipments, you will find some nice options such as : the power drum brakes, power steering, power window, tinted glass, light package, 3 spoke wood steering wheel,  day & night mirror and the very rare front and rear bumper guards. Since it’s a European export car, it came out from Lynch Road assembly plant with radio and outside mirror delete option.

After being stored for year’s in France, the car made it’s way back to North America 6 years ago to undergo a complete nut & bolt restoration. The car at that point was still in it’s original paint with it’s original interior. Being a rust free car, the body retains all of it’s original body panels and sheet metal.  The car has been restored to all the original stock specs with the use of the most NOS parts we could find. As far as documentation,  the car was decoded by Chrysler Historical Services and the copy of that record will be given to the new owner along with the original Certicard, microfilm of the build card from factory records  and also with the Hemi Powered owner’s manual.
The car has 0 miles since the restoration and was debuted at the Chicago MCAN Muscle car & Corvette Nationals in November 2012. Entered in the premium judging concour, the car won the Gold title with a score of  993 points out of 1000.

Friday Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Top 10 Cars To Watch

Friday at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2013 and I’m supposed to only pick 10 cars? Okay, I’ll start with ten!

For all of Friday’s cars CLICK HERE

1966 Oldsmobile 442
Lot Number 1143

I really like this car, its a nice mix of original with a small modern touch. After all a car this big needs a little upgraded stopping power. The big wheels are a nice touch and I assume were needed to clear the bigger brakes.

1968 Ford Mustang GT
Lot Number 1132

You see a good bit of 69 Cobra Jets but you don’t see many nice 68’s. This is a really nice example of one.

1969 Ford Mustang
Lot Number 1130

Speaking of Cobra Jets, this would be one to own. Factory drag pack car, rare options, awesome color. I’d love to have this one sitting in my garage.

1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
Lot Number 1128

Very nice example of a 59. Over 25 options plus the car was owned by NHRA legend Kenny Bernstein.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429
Lot Number 1093

I swear I didn’t plan all these Mustangs back to back. But with the 429 this one had to be on the list!

1959 Chevrolet Corvette
Lot Number 1096

Restomod Vettes have came out of the woodwork this year at Barrett-Jackson. This orange 59 is a very nice example of one. Its got the LS7 in it along with all of the supporting mods.

1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Drag Car
Lot Number 1119

Old drag cars are always cool, this one has a pretty nice little history.

1965 Ford Mustang AFX Gasser
Lot Number 1079

Add another Mustang and another nostalgic drag car to the list.

1966 Chevrolet Corvette
Lot Number 1081

66 Vette, Art Morrison chassis, LSX engine, Tremec, Z06 brakes, the list goes on and on with this one!

1967 Chevrolet Corvette
Lot Number 1067.

I think the add sums it up on Barrett-Jackson the best, this is THE ULTIMATE Corvette in terms of from the factory. Big block, tri power, but will all the creature comforts. Red coupe with a black stinger, you just can’t beat the looks. This vette should bring big money for anyone in the market for a nice mid-year.

Like I said, there was no way I could just pick ten, so stay tuned, there will be more cars to come a little later today!

JDSMotorsports.com Top Ten Picks: Turkey Rod Run 2012

At first I was having some trouble finding ten cars that really jumped out at me at the 39th Annual Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach, FL but by Friday night at Belair Plaza I had more than enough. I actually ended up with about twenty cars that I had picked for the “top ten” but I narrowed it down to ten somehow! Enjoy!

I’m not really sure what this thing is, but it looks like it would be a ton of fun especially for cruising at the beach!

An Oakland, how rare are these things? I can’t remember the last time I saw one especially in running shape!

First off late model Hemi swaps are way under rated in my opinion. But what makes this one so cool is they did it in an odd car. You don’t see very many nicely modified early Barracuda convertibles let alone with a late model Hemi in them.

I’m not sure what exactly it was the caught my eye about this one, heck I’m not even sure what year it is? Early 1950’s though, I like the color, the straight six, love the four speed, its just a cool hot rod!

This thing was just too unique and different not to include. Its a Volkswagon Bug of some year made to look like a 1940 Ford and a woodie at that. Not really my cup of tea, but a nice ride regardless!

Here is a rare one for ya!!

This car could have easily went number two or number one on the list. This 1959 Chevy was a nice blend of original and modern. Notice the air ride controls sitting in the seat.

My late-uncle bought a very similar car to this brand new in 1966. In fact it is still sitting in our garage. Only his wasn’t a convertible and his was a 4-speed. But still the same color, 421 engine, etc. The 2+2’s are pretty rare cars. In all other years they were Catalina 2+2’s but in 1966 they were simply 2+2’s.

When I saw this Friday morning I knew it was going to be number one no matter what else I ran across. I am a HUGE 50’s chevy business coupe fan, we had a 1958 for years that we just sold last spring, you never see any, especially 58’s and 59’s. This one is a very rare example. Business coupe, big block, automatic, air conditioning, power steering, power windows, power seat, padded dash, power brakes. This would be one sweet ride!
