Black, low gear, 4-speed, no heater, dog dish hub caps, big engine. Nothing beats a plain Jane car. This 1960 Chevy is a great example of “built to run”. Check it out, Lot 982.

I never understood why more people didn’t do Dodge Viper engine swaps over the years? I remember seeing a Challenger at Carlisle years ago that had one and thought that was just the coolest thing. Apparently the builder of Lot 1016 agree’s with me!

I know what your thinking, Studebaker? But look at Lot 1027, check out the McCulloch supercharger hanging from the top of the engine.

Something about this ‘Cuda just grabs my eye. Its traditional Mopar. Over the top color, billboards, shaker hood, got to love it! Check it out, Lot 1071.

Low miles, four speed, hold on to your hat when this one goes across the block, it’s gonna ring the bell. Lot 1133.

Sadly in the collector car world “Hemi” just doesn’t do what it used to, but when you ad convertible to it, it still rings the bell! The GTX convertible is one of the rarest of them all! Lot L77 is 1 of 11!

Lot 82.1 not only carries three legendary drivers signature, but one of them on the door as well. Signed by Shelby, Unser, and Bondurant. This Bob Bondurant racing Mustang is a cool piece of history for anyone’s collection!

I love a Superbird, but the white on Lot L84 may be the classiest color of them all.

Lot 79.1, better known as King Of The Hill, the ZR1. This low mile example should really ring the bell!

Lot L40 brings us the first Foxbody Mustang of the auction. This is an SSP car, meaning basically it was a cop car. This particular one was a Florida Highway Patrol Car. These cars have been doing really good at auctions as of late, it will be interesting to see what trend this one sets for the year.

This Brad Keselowski #2 car is from his 2012 Championship season, and possibly one of the last Dodge’s to ever race in NASCAR at least in this era. This will benefit the NASCAR foundation and should bring some big money for charity.

Tremec, LS1, air ride, this restomod is as good as it gets. Top goes down, price goes up!

How cool is this old Harley Davidson, I have no idea what it’s worth, but it sure is cool!

I love the black on primer look, just not sure if it will sell or not, guess we will see!

I’m not a big fan of the looks of this car, but I’m curious if it brings any money or not, definitely a unique piece!

Any two seater Jeep is cool, I’ll never understand why Jeep doesn’t make one from the factory!

This is a cool car but otherwise worthless without the Lemans history. Could be a cool piece of racing history pretty cheap!

I love this thing, my idea of a street rod, big and low!

This should prove an interesting piece, a Yenko clone, but it was also in one of the Fast and Furious movies.

I’m a fan of a straight eight to begin with, but how cool is this Pontiac Sedan Delivery! Has to be a very rare piece!

Mecum Kissimmee 2013: Saturday Cars To Watch

Everyone knows Saturday is the biggest day at any major auction. Mecum Kissimmee is no exception. I mean, I don’t even know where to start. This is such a stacked line up I should probably just post all the cars as ones to watch. But SOMEHOW I’m going to make myself only talk about ten cars. BUT I am going to simply post pictures of some more under “honorable mention”.

Okay, wait a minute, I mean have you looked at the cars at Mecum Kissimmee? Ten? No way. There is more than ten Corvette’s going across the block today that deserve mention. So lets do this, check out my Top Ten Corvettes for Saturday by CLICKING HERE. Even with the Vette’s out of the way it was really hard to pick a top ten. To give you an idea of just how many nice cars are here before I pick the top ten cars to watch for Saturday here is the “honorable mentions”.

And now finally, my top ten cars to watch for Saturday.

Click the description under each car for more info.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Resto-Mod

I have saw and photographed this car in person on several occasions. The attention to detail is out of this world, the flat black paint on top is sinister looking. Tied in with the black vinyl top this is just one good looking Camaro.

1967 Plymouth Hemi Belvedere Factory Race Car

Hemi, light weight, factory drag car. Need I say more?

1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro

The “Blue Mule”.  A very nicely modified, highly optioned, COPO car.

cross ram

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 “Cross Ram”

Cross Ram cars bring a fortune, mix in the big brakes and this one should fetch well into the 100k range.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429

I’ve saw this one in person too, very nice low mile car. 8,064 miles to be exact.

1968 Ford Mustang Factory Lightweight

Our second lightweight car of the day. This one is of the Ford variety.

1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda

Low miles, unrestored, excellent condition. This car should fetch a mint.

1970 Plymouth Superbird

One of two Superbirds to cross the block today. Four speed, six pack, national show winner. Very curious to see what this one goes for.

1966 Ford Mustang Shelby SCCA Race Car

1 of 16 made. With Carol Shelby’s name on it, this car should bring big money.

1963 Pontiac Tempest 421 Super Duty

1 of 6 produced. 421 Super Duty. Known as “World’s Fastest Tempest”.

A Little Sample Of Some Croftgate Products On A 1970 Plymouth Cuda

In the next few weeks I will be reviewing each product that we will be carrying individually but until I can get around with that I thought I would share with you a quick review of a few products. This is quick and informal sample of a few products I was using the other night to clean my dad’s 1970 ‘Cuda convertible up for some quick pictures. The car was dirty from the remnants of a four hour road trip to a show and dusty from sitting in the shop afterwards for a couple of months. Now I didn’t have time to drag out the wash bucket and the water hose. I definitively didn’t have time to mess with drying the car down afterwards. I could have used a duster, but all that would have done was move the dust around from one side of the car to the other and prolong the need for a “wash” so to speak. This is the perfect time for the Croftgate product. Here are a few before picture, it was right at dusk, so it was hard to really see in the pictures just how dusty and dirty the car was, but again I didn’t really do this for a formal sales demonstration, I just wanted a quick, real life sample of the product at work.

Here is a few shots of the car before hand. You can click on each one to blow them up.

Step one was to take the Multi-Clean to remove the bugs, “birds”, and really nasty stuff. I was shocked at how easy it cleaned this stuff of the paint, especially the bugs. Now keep in mind these were dried on there and had been on the car since April. With plain old soap and water it could take twenty minutes of cleaning and scrubbing to get these off, with the Multi-Clean it just took one pass of the towel and they were gone. Plus it is 100% safe for the paint and the environment.

Next step was the Aquanil-X, this is the start of the show, the waterless wash and wax. It is easy, you just lightly mist it on, wipe it it similar to a wax, then turn the cloth over, wipe it off. Its easy.

The drivers side of the hood has been cleaned, the passenger side hasn’t. Again not the best pictures, but I didn’t really do this to be a commercial, just a real life sample.

Here is the towel on the first wipe, pretty dirty huh?

Here is the second wipe to wipe the cleaner off.

Not to mention the paint is slick and ready to go the show. I don’t know of any quick detailer that could have taken that much dust off and given the paint the just waxed shine and feel that this paint has now.

Another great product, possibly my favorite from Croftgate is the tire shine. But this stuff isn’t just tire shine, in fact you can clean the whole wheel with it. The right half was wiped down with the tire shine, the left was not. Look at the difference in the shine.

Plus the great thing about it is it dries quickly and isn’t greasy like most over the counter tire shines. It won’t sling all over the side of the car either, so no need to wait hours before you drive your car to let it dry.

Here is a picture of it all over the wheel and tire just for proof!

Finished product.

It is also great on vinyl tops, convertible tops, trim, etc.

And all of it safe for the environment, no need to worry about run off washing into our pond!

Here is the finished product, all shined up and ready to go!

A quick shot of the car back in the shop under the lights, look at that shine!

Hope you enjoyed! Again this was just a VERY quick, informal sample of a couple of products. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us!

But wait there is more! You can’t talk about a car without hearing it run!!
