Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Recap: Thursday

Another day, another dollar. Lets take a look at Thursday at Barrett-Jackson!

First lets look at our cars to watch list.

If you missed the original list, CLICK HERE

Lot 753: 1958 Pontiac Bonneville- $60,000- Folks at Speed thought this one was cool, it was the first Hagerty Fantasy Bid

Lot 639: 1959 Ford F100- $17,600 -Pretty average price, neat truck, but looks like just a plain-jane mid 90’s F150 engine, wiring is kind of sloppy, still a cool truck though.

Lot 850: 1939 Pontiac Sedan Patrol Car- $22,000- Pretty fair price for this, not much you can do with it other than display it.

Lot 824: 1973 Plymouth ‘Cuda- $57,200- Man do I love me some billboards!

Lot 754: 2008 Shelby GT500 KR- $72,600- See more comments in Deals of the Day

Lot 776: 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Custom-$62,000- Awesome looking car, couldn’t build one for that!

Lot 758: 1932 Ford Model A Truck- $45,000- Really cool old school hot rod!

Lot 756: 1958 GMC Suburban Truck- $55,000

Lot 755: 1964 Chevrolet Biscayne- $40,000

Lot 707: 1977 Oldsmobile #11 Race Car- $22,0o0- Lot of NASCAR history right here for the money!

Looks like we spent $453,400 on our cars to watch for the day. Here are our three day totals so far

Tuesday- $217,480

Wednesday- $443,850

Thursday- $453,400

Three Day Total- $1,114,730

Deals Of The Day

Lot 754: 2008 Shelby GT500 KR- $72,600- Figured this would go for way more. These cars were more than this new and this one pretty much is. Not a good sign market wise for the new generation Shelby’s.

Lot 789: 1969 Ford Mustang- $49,500- Not a bad price for a 428 Cobra Jet shaker hood car

Lot 797: 1937 Chrysler Airflow- $49,500- I thought this was probably deal of the day. These things are rare to begin with and there is no way you could build one to this level for this price or anywhere close to it.

Lot 800: 1970 Dodge Challenger- $60,500- Again a whole lot of car for the money. The auctioneers kept trying to get more but it just wasn’t there. Proving that “race cars” are just hard to sell. I imagine the old owner lost a fortune on this one.

Other Cool Stuff

Lot 3004: 2012 Ford SVT Raptor- $200,000- All proceeds went to benefit the Special Olympics Arizona

Lot 3005 & Lot 3005.1: Pair of Indian Chief Motorcycles- $200,000- All proceeds went to benefit Camp Southern Ground. Customized by the Zach Brown Band.

Lot 765.1: 1955 Chevrolet Belair Convertible-$71,500 -what a cool car, convertible, all original, classic color, hard not to love this one.

Lot 7002: 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda AAR- $80,000- You know I love me some trans-am cars!

Lot 798: 1957 Packard Clipper- $47,300- What a cool car, factory supercharger.

Lot 823: 2007 Donzi 22 Classic- $51,700- Donzi, Shelby, can’t beat it!

Hagerty Fantasy Bid Cars

Lot 753: 1958 Pontiac Bonneville- I bid $35,000. Actual price $60,000 Missed it by -$25,000

And that was all for the fantasy bids. Lots of disappointed people last night. Not only did Hagerty’s fantasy bid site crash but so did there price evaluation tool. Hopefully they get their ducks in a row for tonight!

Top Five Sellers

1. 2013 Chevrolet Corvette Custom $270,000

2. 2012 Ford SVT Raptor F150 $200,000

3. 1961 Chevrolet Impala $150,000

4. 2010 Indian Chief Custom Motorcycle $100,000
